1. Water Bottle

Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.


2. Hand Sanitizer

Let's face it, gyms are gross when it comes to germs. All the sweat dripping, people picking their noses, walking barefoot on the mats, yeah you don't want to touch anything and then touch your face.


3. Gym Towel

Whether you're working up a sweat in the cardio room, weights room or taking a sauna, you'll want fresh gym towel handy.


4. Deodorant

Public service, please put deodorant on before working out. Don't be that person.


5. Hair ties/hat

If you workout with them, always have extras in your bag. Nothing worse than annoying bangs or sweat when you're trying to have a good workout.


6. Band Aids

These come in handy more often than you think. Whether you get a blister on the treadmill, a cracked callous from the weight rack, or you'd rather not kneel that scrape on your knee into the 1000s of germs on the mat, a couple bandaids will have you covered to keep at your workout without missing a beat.


7. Ace Bandage

For when your knee, elbow, or wrist needs a little bit of support to make sure instability doesn't turn into injury.


8. Weightlifting Belt

Go for that PR while making sure that your back doesn't get tweaked in the process. You don't want to be without it when you're feeling strong and want to add on another plate.


9. Lifting Straps

Don't let your grip stand in the way of building the strength you are looking for.


10. Bar Pad

Your cervical spine is kind of essential to your motor functions below the neck; save on chiropractic bills with a bar pad.


11. Sandals

If you use the sauna, steam room, pool or showers at your gym, sandals are essential. Save your feet, wear sandals.


12. Extra Headphones

For those of you who wear wireless headphones to workout, it comes in handy to have an extra pair of wired headphones in you gym bag for the days when you forget to charge them.


13. Charging Bank & Cord

It's the biggest bummer when you are having an awesome workout and your phone dies mid song. A small charging bank will help get you through your workout without losing momentum.


14. Hoodie

Depending on where you live, it can be pretty cold to walk out of the gym in your sweaty workout clothes.


15. Lock

Many gyms have coded lockers now, but if yours doesn't, keep your stuff safe.


16. Protein Bar/Powder

Set your body up for success. Keep a pre/post workout snack in your bag for days when you need it.
